Marcegaglia Carbon Steel offers a comprehensive range of hot-rolled, pickled & oiled, cold-rolled and hot-dip galvanized coils engineered to meet the needs of diverse industries, including engineering and machinery, construction, packaging, furniture, household appliances and HVAC.

Production is primarily concentrated at the Ravenna complex, the Group’s main logistics hub and one of the largest integrated steel processing centers in the Mediterranean.
The site features 700 meters of privately owned harbor docks with state-of-the-art concrete flooring, coil cradles, five cranes and a dedicated railway connection. This extensive infrastructure enables efficient handling, storage and shipping of metal materials, ensuring optimized costs and reliable distribution to global markets.

Thanks to advanced processing technologies and a fully integrated supply chain, Marcegaglia Carbon Steel guarantees high productivity, consistent quality and operational flexibility. The Ravenna hub stands as a benchmark for efficiency within the Marcegaglia network, combining large-scale industrial capacity with responsive logistics to meet the evolving demands of customers worldwide.

Pickled coils

Marcegaglia Carbon Steel’s pickled coils are manufactured from hot-rolled steel that undergoes a descaling and surface finishing process to deliver clean, uniform material ready for further processing. Available in thicknesses from approximately 1.2 to 6.0 mm and widths up to 1,550 mm, they offer excellent dimensional accuracy and surface quality.

The range includes structural steels (S185 to S355K2), high-strength grades for cold forming (S315MC to S600MC) and low-carbon steels (DD11 to DD14), as well as weather-resistant and custom-specified grades for special applications.

Produced according to EN 10025, EN 10149 and EN 10111 standards, Marcegaglia’s pickled coils ensure reliability, consistency and process efficiency. Certified quality documentation and tight tolerances guarantee performance across demanding fabrication, engineering and construction uses.

Cold rolled coils

Marcegaglia Carbon Steel’s cold-rolled coils offer a broad and versatile range of thicknesses starting from 0.25 mm and widths up to 1,530 mm, serving applications across furniture, construction, automotive and electrical industries.

Produced according to EN 10130 (low-carbon steels), EN 10268 (high-strength steels for cold forming) and EN 10341 (semi-processed electrical steels), they meet both standard and specialized requirements, with custom grades available on request.

Tight dimensional tolerances (in line with EN 10131) and surface protection options such as dry or lightly oiled finishes (0.5-2 g/m² per side) ensure consistent quality. Combining excellent formability, surface finish and mechanical performance, these coils are ideal for deep drawing, cold forming and high-precision engineering applications.

Hot dip galvanized coils

Marcegaglia Carbon Steel’s hot-dip galvanized coils provide durable, high-performance solutions for construction, structural and industrial applications. Available in thicknesses from 0.25 mm upward and widths up to 1,530 mm, they combine dimensional accuracy with excellent corrosion protection.

Produced according to EN 10346, the range includes cold-forming grades (DX51D–DX57D), structural steels (S220GD–S550GD) and high-strength steels (HCT450X–HCT980X). Zinc coatings from Z50 to Z800 g/m² and multiple surface finishes – standard, improved, or superior – ensure long-lasting performance.

Protective treatments, such as light oiling, chromate or organic coatings, and pre-painting preparations further enhance durability. Fully compliant with EN 10143 and supplied with certified documentation (EN 10204), Marcegaglia’s galvanized coils guarantee reliability, flexibility, and consistent quality across demanding industrial and architectural uses.
